Plastic Straps

Plastic strapping is used in a lot of situations. Plastic strapping is usually used for load stabilization and unitizing products together. Some people also use a combination of stretch film, and strapping to help secure loads of different sizes and weight.



Polypropylene strap is the most popular way of strapping. It always use with a variety of packages and loads. There are a multiple sealing types that can be used with polypropylene strapping. Here below we will highlight two seals that used for strapping. They are two types of finishes on the pp straps in the market.
The first finish I want to tell is the embossed finish. This type can give extra texture and, add friction to the straps. The embossed finish offers a diamond-shaped finish which allows more friction and slip resistance to buckles or seals. For much embossing can compromise the strength of the strapping.



Secondly, Polypropylene strap offered in a smooth finish as well. The smooth finish allows the plastic strapping to be stronger and is intended for heavier loads. Strapping with a smooth finish has a much higher tensile strength than strapping with an embossed finish.



Moreover, Poly strapping is safer to use since it doesn’t have sharp edges, it is easier to dispose, and it costs considerably less than metal or steel strapping. And if your company need to send out many packages that requiring secure packaging, then opting for poly strapping may be the better route for you to take as it not only lets you enjoy ultimate strength in securing packages but it also has a number of conveniences that businesses will surely appreciate. Not to mention that there are different kinds of poly straps available so different conditions are met as need.



Polyester strap is the strongest of plastic strapping materials which is design to use as an alternative to steel strapping because of the strength it provides, and the ability to reduce the overall weight of the load. It’s also available in a wide variety of widths and thicknesses in plain or embossed textured finishes. Polyester contours well to aid strap tension while providing high rigidity and low creep factors. Moreover, polyester strapping is used with a variety of hand and machine sealing tools. The highest initial tension can be applied and retained over a longer period of time compared to other plastic strapping materials. Polyester is also available in machine grade and is very easy to recycle.
